Tasteless and Offensive

Weighing in on the topic of the day, a New Yorker cartoon Mainstreet can only ask:

Why, when one does not read The New Yorker, comment on it? Readers know and understand it. Non readers must express clueless opinions. Well, that is our society today.

Senator Obama is reportedly depicted as dressed in Muslim dress. We who have lived in the Muslim world find him more like Pandit Nehru in this depiction.

The unqualified amongst our electorate believe that Sen. Obama is a secret Muslim. There is no such thing. Do not go to the polls if you do not know that. He is of East African, Kenyan, coastal Arab origin. They were the slave traders in East Africa. Read “Tibbu Tib and the East African Slave Trade”. Since we are all out of Africa, we can add all those characteristics to our genetic pools.

Now, speaking of tasteless and offensive, we receive 24/7 tales of the Branjolina household, unmarried partners living in sin and raising six children, three of their own bastards. To Christian America this is more than tasteless and offensive, it is downright repugnant and should be labeled a crime. Senator Obama (for whom we will not vote) at least had the good taste to refuse the proffered campaign services of Brad Pitt.

We receive 24/7 tidbits on the antics of the wild girls , prostiteens, whom no one appears able to curb for the benefit of our young girls. There they are, half dressed, prancing about in corsets, shouting whatever passes for song, drunk or drugged and doing no jail time although we could make good use of them in underlining the costs of DUI and further tasteless and offensive behaviors.

Of course, these females have scruffy male equivalents.

Then we have politically correct semantics: infant sacrifice is called abortion rights or a woman’s right to choose; mocking marriage and the family is usually called gay rights; sodomites are labeled “gay” indicating a euphemism is required to avoid hurting their tender feelings about their unfortunate disfunctions.

Need we go on? Christian America has but to view our tubes to find unacceptable tastelessness and offenses. One can hardly avoid them. We need not look at magazine racks.
