Embarrassing Globe Trotters

We suppose there is no way we can deny passports to the galaxies of American dimwits traveling the globe and making fools of themselves, but we could perhaps at least ask our tube types to be the tiniest bit aware when they are being “had”.

To our supreme embarrassment, we have heard several tales, told with straight faces, one even within our Bible study group, to the effect that American fathers have been offered so many camels, so many cows, whatever, for their daughters by Arab ”sheiks”.

It is not uncommon for Arab families to arrange marriages. Indeed it is more common than boy meets girls, but that is not the way in which it is done.

These telephone calls are classic Arab demeaning, even sadistic humor, pointing out the extreme naivety and credulity of many Americans.

They are not a menace to our society, merely humiliating.

On the other hand, when we see a female globe trekker playing the demented teen in Egypt, going up the Nile by the most circuitous route possible and falling for every social trap, we really must ask that this stop. That much tube time given to total unenlightening nonsense is contrary to the public interests.

Then we have the pour rire female “journalists” who interviewed Iraqi young men declaring they would vote for Hillary Clinton.
